Hotel 47 Medellin Center

The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. I don't speak much Spanish but we made it work with translation, anything I asked for we worked out easily. Whether it be where to eat or which direction a particular attraction was they were very helpful. The hotel is located in the city center, close to food, grocery, and transportation. Just a few minutes walk to Plaza Botero and the museum. There is street food very close to the hotel, so you don't have to wander far after a long day of sightseeing. There is also an Exito grocery at the corner and a mall right across the street. The hotel has breakfast in the mornings but I did not attend so I can't speak on it. I felt the bed was very comfortable, the ac kicked and the water was nice and hot. Although the hotel is located smack in the middle of everything, with the hustle and bustle, commuter traffic steps from the door, I felt very safe as a solo female traveler.
